As one of two middle schools in the Linn-Mar Community School District, Oak Ridge offers a variety of educational and extra-curricular opportunities for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Our enrollment is approximately 800 students.  Music offerings at Oak Ridge include band, orchestra, choir, general music, jazz band, show choir and chamber orchestra. 

The Oak Ridge Middle School Band program is designed to teach beginning and intermediate wind and percussion techniques appropriate for the middle school instrumentalist.  There is an emphasis on public performance, with required concerts.  In addition, students will attend weekly band lessons throughout the year where they will learn and apply practice strategies for their appropriate level.
