Mr. Brett Dupree directs the 8th Grade Concert Band, 7th Grade Concert Band, 8th Grade Jazz Band and teaches lessons.  A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a graduate of Linn-Mar High School, Mr. Dupree is a 1999 graduate of Brigham Young University where he received his Bachelor’s and Master of Music.  Prior to teaching at Oak Ridge Middle School he served as Director of Bands at Farrer Middle School in Provo, Utah, Director of Bands at Auburn High School in Auburn, Washington and Associate Director of Bands at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids.  Mr. Dupree maintains a private low brass studio and is an active adjudicator and guest conductor across Eastern and Central Iowa.  If he’s not teaching at school, his favorite place to be is at home with his wife Whitney and his six children.

Mrs. Stephanie Nuss directs the 6th Grade Concert Band and the 7th Grade Jazz Band.  In addition to teaching many lessons at Oak Ridge, she teaches 5th grade students throughout the district.  A graduate of the University of Iowa in 2000, Mrs. Nuss also holds a Master of Music Degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.  She runs a private clarinet studio, and is an active adjudicator in the Marion and Cedar Rapids Area.  She resides in Marion with her husband Aaron and is the proud parent of three children.
