Each Linn-Mar 7th and 8th grade band student is required to participate in this event.  For approximately eight weeks, students will prepare a solo, which will be performed for an adjudicator.  This performance will be accompanied by a pianist who will be assigned to each student by his/her lesson teacher.  There is a $18.00 fee for the accompanist, which will be paid directly to that person by the student.

Adventureland, Altoona                          All Day • Time TBA, (7th and 8th Grade Concert Bands)

 

 

On this Saturday, 7th and 8th Grade Bands will travel to Des Moines to take part in the Adventureland/Drake Relays Festival of Bands.  Students will be responsible for paying their own admission (group discounted) into the park.  The bands will perform sometime during the day, and students will have the remaining time to enjoy the attractions of the park.  The cost of the trip will be around $24.00 (collected in April).  Students take buses to and from the park.  Parents and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend at the same discounted price.
